I got to play with a Mindflex at Comic Con over the summer, and it was somewhat fun to play with. It was a little hard to get it to work right for me, but I feel with a little practice, I could improve (I only had a couple of minutes to try it). As other reviewers have stated... the wireless headband you wear really only controls the fan speed, to move the ball up and down. It is up to you to turn a dial to move the ball side to side. Seems to me that if it really was reading your brainwaves, they could have included a second sensor to control the lateral movement.



The biggest turnoff about buying it here at Amazon (currently) is the price! Holy cow! It is THREE TIMES as expensive here, as other online retailers! It is WAY too expensive here! Do yourself a favor, and don't pay the extortionists who are trying to sell these for sky-high prices. Do a little price checking online before plunking down your money.

This game is very interesting! First off...the headband HURTS! There is a little metal knob that digs into your forehead..so be prepared. Second, the game is HARD! First you have to learn to control the ball with your mind before you can even get to the obstacles. This is very difficult with you family and friends making comments and distracting you as you are supposed to be concentrating on keeping the ball in the air. Lastly, we have found that the kids (ages 11-9) do better than the adults!



So, if you don't mind your head hurting, it's a very fun group game to see who can concentrate the hardest. We have played 3-4 times and and are still not ready to move to obstacles. We are looking forward to playing again. I can see this game being played over and over - not only by the kids but by the parents as well! I would like to have a parent game night with it because all of the adults will be trying to figure out how it "really" works.

Expected the toy to be bigger in size when put together(especially for the price paid), but my son loves it. Easy to understand instructions on how to assemble and quite easy to do. I guess you have to be a Bakugan fan to understand how "cool" this toy really is.

This is a 7piece toy comprised of 6 Bakugan Traps and 1 Bakugan Figure. The set is composed of the figures, as well as the Gate Card and Special Ability Card. My daughter has numerous Battle Packs, traps, Bakugan Deka, the arena, the launcher and Bakugan Gauntlet (in addition to the Bakugan DS game).



The toy comes in the box as separate figures and step by step instructions are necessary to aassemble the Maximus Dragonoid. Assembly took about 20 minutes, the first time. Instructions are only graphical drawings and not too easy to follow. Once assembled the figure is not as big as I had anticipated on the packaging. Personally, i was not impressed but my 9 year loves it. She likes the ability to use the traps when playing the Bakugan with her other Bakugan Figures.



As for an action set, I question the durability with non-game play (ie as standalone action figures) - given the spring loaded mechanisms and delicate small parts. I do not recommend this for households with children under 5 given the high choking potential. This set is more ideal for kids aged 7 and above - depending upon how gingerly or harsh your child plays with his or her toys.



For the price, this toy is a touch overpriced and I recommend waiting for a price drop by at least $5 to $10. However, the the unique nature of a modular toy, this set is amazing. I recommend this for the Ultimate Bakugan Fan and not for the casual gamer.



Despite its limitations, it is still a very good toy.

You can play w/ the individual characters but the main 'Maxus Dragonoid' cannot be played with since doesn't go together worth a hoot which is the reason my son wanted the toy. Pieces don't fit quite right. So not worth the money. He is 8. We had fun trying to but it together but wish it was worth the effort.

Here's "what's in the box":



- 2 halfs of the ball

- a twist on cover or door for getting the hamster in and out

- a stabalizer for the bottom of the zhu zhu hamster

- a 'play' ball for the hamster



First the two halfs of the ball come apart if its picked up; dropped; touched. The two halfs of the sphere latch together with by lining up little plastic nubs into holes (a difficult task and irritating when you have to do it over and over). I tried taping the two halves together but that did not last more than a few hours



The door cover goes on and off easily and my 4 year old can manage the half twist it takes to lock/unlock it.



The stabilizer stays on about 70% of the time. It sticks onto the plastic nub on the bottom of the hamster. It also doesnt guarantee the hamster won't flip over in the ball.



The small blue play ball... well, I'm not sure that its intended to go in the large ball with the hamster. It only seems to trip him up more and cause him to flip (which requires you opening and repositioning him and running the risk of making the two halves of the ball come apart!!) We use the play ball in the funhouse and let Mr Squiggles push it through the tunnels. Its a lot more entertaining that way.



To sum up 5 minutes of work will get you 5 minutes of entertainment with this accessory. The kids got a kick out of it running around the house knocking in to walls and furniture. When it wasn't falling apart or flipping over it was great fun to watch. We've since lost the stabilizer and the ball has been on a shelf for two weeks. can't find the play ball either.

I've bought this as a Christmas present for someone who keeps saying he wants a hamster, but in reality will never look after one. And I have to say this is one of the funniest things I've seen in a really long time.

The ball is a little fiddly to put together, but once that hammie gets going it's as believable as the real thing. If it bangs into a wall or object, the pet makes a noise, turns himself around and sets off again.

Hours of fun without the smell, mess and food of a real hamster.

I can see why this has become the 'must-have' Christmas toy.

While the Zhu Zhu Pet craze has taken off, and the hamsters are cute and fun, the accessories leave a lot to be desired. The ball does not stay together for longer than 5 minutes, and I am constantly trying to put it back together. Made of lightweight, non-durable plastic, it is not stable and does not stay together. I am seriously thinking of purchasing a "real" hamster ball from a pet store. The only problem is you need the stabilizer piece that keeps the hamster from rolling over and over in the ball.

The actual Zhu Zhu hamsters are adorable, but most of the accessories are cr*p. They fall apart very easily and are not worth the money. . . You spend most of your time clicking the pieces back together again. This ball seems to hold up (and stay together) the best out of all of them, but if you can talk your kids out of wanting them you will be doing yourself a favor!

I don't know how to rate this toy as I am giving it as a joke gift. My daughter moved out, finally, and the apartment she moved into won't allow pets. I got her this Zhu Zhu pet and adventure ball as a joke Christmas gift so she can let it run around her apartment while she is veging. I thought her friends would get a kick out this as well. The hamster sounds fun when you press his nose through the package but I did not open the package or try out the hamster. It may not even work but I hope so.

Kids saw these on tv awhile ago little did I know by Oct. they were the must have. With both my kids B-days coming and X-mas I couldn't disappoint so I am glad (sort of) that I was able to purchase through Amazon . However I wish I was able to purchase at retail value instead of the 3x the amount I ended up paying ! Be realistic people do you really need that much profit? I only purchased 2 hamsters and that will be all . Pipsqueek the Hamster is absolutely CUTE. And the sounds She makes are so sweet. I love it, but it is a Christmas present for my grandaughter. And ordered the slide it is not here yet, but I just ordered yesterday. Of all the toys I have seen in recent years this is the BEST. And it is toy that promotes the care and loving of animals. I was lucky enough to find these at Walmart right before my 2 year olds birthday. I got two hamsters and the little hamster house and the wheel. They are cute and all three of my kids, ages 7 to 2, played with them non-stop for about two days after that they sat on the bedroom floor, totally forgotten. There is nothing really special about them. They just do the same thing and make the same sounds over and over. The wheel never really worked well. They would run into it and get stuck and after adjusting them they would run somewhat for a second before getting stuck again. These toys are fine for eight dollars but don't spend any more than that they are not worth it. Also, be warned, if you have a child like my two year old daughter, who likes to hug all her toys, this will get caught in her hair. This happened to my daughter, it was pretty easy to get out becasue I was next to her when it happened and turned it off quickly but it could have been bad. After that whenever I would ask her if she wanted to play with it she would say "No, he bite me!"
