We purchased this for our son for Christmas. He was going to be turning 2 in January. He loves Thomas, but it's hard to justify those prices especially when you have other children to buy for. Needless to say, we have been very impressed with this set. It has a ton of track, you can set it up in many different configurations--I don't think we've ever done the same thing twice! The bridge and tunnel are great additions. All in all, perfect for our son at his age. And just a note, Thomas track pieces and trains DO fit with this set, which is another bonus! Another great product from Melissa and Doug.

This is a great starter train set, however, the bridge supports are very narrow compared to other sets and the tracks tend to cave in. This can be frustrating for kids.

I bought this train set for my four year old grandson and he loves it. It is also handy that it can't be destroyed by his 18 month old brother. They both seem to enjoy it and it is safe for both of them and durable.

My 2 boys love their train sets and play with it all the time. It is well built and does exactly what is is supposed to do. Anyone looking for a good train set should definitely consider this one.

The "swivel bridge" part of this toy is totally pointless. It does not even rotate 180-degrees. You simply twist it a bit, and the gates go down, but the bridge itself doesn't turn all the way around, nor is it possible to connect it to other train tracks at a perpendicular angle. It's a total gimmick. I suppose the range of tracks is a plus, but for us this toy was a bust. My son asked why it was "broken" already.
